Formatting Screw-up

If my novel excerpt seemed a little dadaist, it's because large chunks of it were accidentally erased in a formatting screwup. So, trying again: Chapter 1 of Spell Games.

Hi there! I am just writing to say that I started your series because I found Blood Engines available free in Kindle format... and I subsequently purchased the remainder of the books and have enjoyed them all very much! I'm desperate for more, in fact, as the last one ended in a very open ended sort of way as you obviously know :) (with respect to the fate of one particular character I greatly enjoyed!) Anyway thanks for the brain candy!

Oh I'm the same... I was browsing the free ebook downloads on the iphone and downloaded 'Blood Engines' and was blown away! I had to find and purchase the following two within the week (read each one in a day) and that is HUGE as I never buy full price books, just get them second hand. I can't WAIT to read Spell Games and I hope these books keep coming.

I just went through all of the Marla Mason books at amazing speed and I must say that I really really enjoyed them! I do hope that there will be more books in the series and I also think that Marla is the coolest heroine ever.
